“Healthy Tykes” Food and Nutrition Program

Healthy Tyke Food and Nutrition Program Little Tyke Learning Centers believes that a healthy diet helps children grow and learn. A healthy diet also, helps prevent obesity and weight-related diseases, such as diabetes.

Little Tyke Learning Centers participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (C.A.C.F.P) that is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). This program has set high standards for early childhood nutrition and was created to ensure nutritious meals and develop good eating habits for all young children. All the children in our care benefit from this program.

Our nutrition program has been developed to meet all of the USDA requirements, including required components and recommended portion sizes for each age group. We receive Federal funds for participating in this program. The amount of these funds is based on the family income levels of participating children.

Little Tyke Learning Centers serve nutritional tasty meals & snacks, fulfilling all vitamin & nutrient requirements required by childcare licensing and the C.A.C.F.P. Breakfast, Lunch, & Snack Menus are posted in the lobby of your facility.
